About
Soulchase-6.png

Soulchase is a Christian Contemporary band based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland (AUS). Soulchase keeps the 80s vibe alive sonically, while overtly delivering scripture based messages praise and worship style.  Their signature sound features soaring harmonised vocals and a full stage sound to help pack a Kingdom worthy punch with scriptual content.  The name says it all - chasing souls and taking back ground for the Kingdom is the band's ultimate goal!

Soulchase consists of Nick Reeve (vocals/guitar), Lorissa ‘Lalo’ Reeve (keys/vocals), Jimmy Haffenden-Carr (guitar/vocals), Dale Soo Shoon (bass/vocals) and Steve Jones (drums).  The band are just completing their second studio album.  Nick says, “It’s deliberately a little more ‘worshippy’ than the first album with intent to let Lorissa flow more on keys and guide the feel and direction of the songs from behind the piano. I’m super happy to let the girl fly and for guitars to just be the icing on the cake! It’s quite an eclectic album for this stage in our careers – so hopefully there's at very least something for everyone!”.

The band’s first album, ‘Above Storms’, had a couple of solid chart entries in U.S Christian Contemporary charts and Christian Voice magazine last year and this year, including a No.1 position for 'Hallelujah, Amen' in the DJ Music Radio chart across the U.S for the Christian Contemporary category and No.6 in the Cashbox Contemporary Christian Music chart. Also a No. 2 for 'The Perfect Love' in DJ Music Radio chart and top 20 positions across two charts for 'Sacred Words'.

Soulchase double-acts as a music ministry through it’s side gig, ‘Kingdom 2 Coast Worship’, which is helping cultivate a Christian music scene on the Sunshine Coast in Australia with a mini-festival platform promoting local Christian bands. Soulchase has a heart for supporting up and coming Christian bands and to help believers connect to the powerful presence of God, while doing their part in The Great Commission spreading Kingdom love with their own music.

Ultimately, all praise and glory to God! Hallelujah, Amen.
